ok...i woke up soooooo NOT GROOVIN'!!...remedy...head to the grocery store and get in the kithchen!!...now i have this whole chicken...and obviously...my first thought...JERK CHICKEN!...but not tonite...i got in the kitchen and caught the groooove!!.....decided i'm in the mood for some kind of a asian marinated grilled chicken...with white rice and some of those delectable pork...mushroom and cabbage dumplings...

ok...cut up your chicken...

for your marinade...soy sauce...sesame oil...red wine vinegar...hot chili oil...brown sugar...and sesame seeds...

in your bowl...brown sugar...vinegar...a heaping tablespoon of hot chili oil...

a little sesame oil...

a little soy sauce...

and a few pinches of sesame seeds...

ok...now i tasted my marinade...added a little more sesame oil and hot chili oil...and then added a little molasses...to create a little sticknyness...ya know...teriyaki-ish!...

and a little garlic powder...perfect!...just the flavor i was looking for!...

put your chicken in a zip loc bag...pour in half your marinade...saving the other half as a little sauce for your white rice...

in the fridge for a couple 4 hours...

rice water on...sauce heating...

need a little google translate here on the name of the package of these dumplings!!;)...but this is the bag...these are phenomenal!!....

aaahhh....chicken on...smells amazing!!...

time to eat!!

a little white wine...

ok...the white rice with the drizzle of sauce...sooo delicious...i love saucy white rice...but not EVERY bite!...

the crispy AND doughy bite of the dumplings...dipped in the sauce...太不可思议了!(incredible!)...

are you even kidding me??...now that's some good lookin' chicken!...and it tastes even better!!...sooo moist and tender...the molasses and brown sugar gave it that sticky sweetness i was looking for...and then there was the perfect balance of the hot oil and sesame...exceptional!!...

甜粘美味!...
(sweet...sticky...deliciousness!)
